Killing time in Ohio and Indiana (September 10th through 18th)
While in Ohio, I found out my parents were going to have a booth at the Burlington Antique Show in Kentucky on September 17th. Since that was so close to where we were, we decided to stay in the area to rendezvous with them. After leaving Deer Creek State Park, we stayed at Valley Vineyard in Morrow, OH. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, a flight of beer and a private tour of the winery. This flight with a generous serving of every beer they had cost $10! The next day, we headed west into Indiana, a state that neither of us anticipated visiting. Kristopher has been wanting to stay at a casino since most of them offer free overnight parking for RVs. We found Rising Star Casino situated on the Ohio River and decided to give it a shot. We tried our luck at slots, but ended up losing $40. I thought we could make up for it with free booze, but alas, our bloody mary's weren't free (but they were delicious). The parking lot was...
