Introduction

For those who do not know my husband-to-be, Kristopher and I (Danielle), we met at work in July 2015.  He moved to Salt Lake City in late-August, and we started seeing each other soon after his arrival.  Fast forward to March 2017, and we were engaged in Hawaii.  Shortly thereafter, we decided to ditch Suburbia and two well-paying jobs for an unconventional lifestyle.  For the next year, we will be traveling with our dog across North America in a truck hauling a fifth wheel.

To add to the insanity of taking a year off work, we decided to sell our Salt Lake City home.  Before we can begin our adventure, we have to pick-up our chariot (2017 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali Dually) from his parents' house to haul our home-on-wheels (Forest River Cardinal 3350RL) from Ponchatoula, LA.  We then have to secure our belongings with my parents in East Tennessee.  We depart UT on Friday, June 30th.

We decided to document our adventure as a way to keep in touch with the friends we left in SLC, to share our experiences with our family and to stay connected to everyone we meet along the way. Neither one of us are bloggers, social media whores; however, this is our attempt to prove we are not spending the year sitting on our asses.  Enjoy!

  3. We found your blog, via RVillage. We're staying in the same park. I always like to see where people have stayed and noticed you didn't check in to many places you've stayed. The site creates a wonderful "diary" of the dates and campgrounds you have visited. We refer back to ours from time to time. And we do love to see how we are spreading out our travels! I noticed you said you weren't bloggers, but this is one easy thing to do and it creates your diary automatically. All you have to do is check in and out....Enjoy your travels. You are off to a GREAT start! Just doing it!
